Where the Ocean meets the Lake Tuncurry Market Saturday – John Wright Park – Tuncurry

There is something undeniably special about a slow Saturday morning on the Barrington Coast. The salty air, the community buzzing, and the thrill of the hunt. This Saturday, April 12th, the Forster Town Park Market is back in full swing, and I am incredibly excited to be setting up shop among the fantastic homegrown and handmade stalls.

If you are a fan of physical media or just looking for the perfect weekend soundtrack, you’re going to want to drop by. I’ll be out there selling a massive, curated collection of LP Records, CDs, and DVDs.

The Unmatched Vibe of Physical Media

There’s a certain magic to holding an album or a movie in your hands. Lately, I’ve been spending a lot of time designing promotional artwork centered entirely around vintage albums, and it’s only fueled my obsession with the physical format. You just can’t replicate the clean, minimalist beauty of a classic album cover, or that cinematic, ultra-premium feel of carefully dropping the needle onto the grooves of a pristine vinyl record.

In a world where everything is streamed and instantly accessible, digging through a crate of records or flipping through CDs feels like an actual adventure. You never know what hidden gem you’re going to unearth. Whether you are hunting for that nostalgic DVD to complete your weekend movie marathon, a rare LP pressing to add to your hi-fi setup, or a CD to blast in the car, I’ve got a bit of everything ready for you.

What to Expect at the Stall

The Forster Town Park Market is a true-blue coastal tradition. Operating on the second Saturday of the month, the market is famous for its relaxed vibe and its “homemade, homegrown, and home-baked” ethos.

When you stop by our stall this weekend, you’ll find:

  • Vinyl Records (LPs): From timeless classics to those hard-to-find pressings, all neatly organized and ready for some serious crate-digging.
  • CDs: A huge variety of genres to restock your physical music library or your car’s sun visor.
  • DVDs: Cult classics, cinematic masterpieces, and easy-watching weekend favorites.

Beyond the records and movies, the whole market is worth the trip. You can grab a coffee from the local cafes down the main street, browse the artisanal crafts, and enjoy the morning sun under the trees.
